AIMEE International School is dedicated to fostering the holistic development and well-being of our students. We are seeking a compassionate and experienced School Counselor to join our team and provide guidance and support to students navigating academic, personal, and
social challenges.
Responsibilities
- Individual Counselling:

- Conduct one-on-one counselling sessions to address students’ personal and academic concerns.
- Assist students in developing coping strategies and decision making skills.

- Group Counseling:
-
- Facilitate group counselling sessions to address common challenges and promote a sense of community.
- Provide a supportive environment for students to share experiences and learn from one another.

- Academic Guidance:
-
- Collaborate with students, teachers, and parents to identify academic goals and create individualised academic plans.
- Offer support in course selection, study skills, and time management.

- Crisis Intervention:

- Respond to and manage crisis situations affecting students’ well-being.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to provide timely and effective support during crises.

- Parent Collaboration:

- Communicate with parents to address concerns, share insights, and provide guidance on supporting their child’s well-being.
- Conduct parent workshops on relevant topics related to adolescent development and mental health.

- Professional Development:

- Stay updated on counselling best practices, mental health issues, and trends affecting students.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance counselling skills.

Qualifications
-
- A master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field. Relevant certifications are preferred.
- Proven experience as a school counsellor or in a similar counselling role.
- Knowledge of counselling theories, adolescent development, and academic planning.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
