Homeroom Teacher

Full Time Role – Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh

AIMEE International School AIMEE International School strives to provide a top-tier educational approach for Grades 1 and 2 (6 to 7 years), building upon the foundation established in Early Childhood Education (ECE). Recognizing the crucial transition from ECE to primary education, the school aims to create a seamless and enriching learning journey for young learners through Homeroom teaching (H.R.T).

Responsibilities

  • Child-Centred Learning: 
      • Design and implement developmentally appropriate and engaging activities for young learners. 
      • Foster a love for learning through play-based and hands-on activities. 
  • Social and Emotional Development: 
      • Create a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes social and emotional development. 
      • Implement strategies to enhance communication, cooperation, and empathy among children. 
  • Subject Expertise: 
      • Home Room Teachers are expected to possess proficiency in teaching
        subjects such as English, Science, Global Perspectives, Digital Literacy, and Social Emotional Learning (SEL) using circle time activities.
  • Collaborative Efforts: 
      • Collaboration among Home Room Teachers, specialists, and school staff is emphasized to enhance the overall educational experience, ensuring a well-rounded approach to learning.
  • Parent Collaboration: 
      • Establish open and transparent communication with parents. 
      • Collaborate with parents to understand and support each child’s development. 
  • Documentation: 
      • Maintain accurate records of each child’s progress and developmental milestones. 
      • Communicate effectively with parents through regular updates and progress reports.

Qualifications

    • A bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. A teaching qualification is preferred.
    • Proven experience in Primary Education or Early Childhood Care and Education
    • Familiarity with age-appropriate teaching methodologies and play-based learning approaches. 
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.

Additional Expectations
