English Language Facilitator

Full Time Role – Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh

AIMEE International School is dedicated to providing a nurturing and engaging educational experience for our primary school students. We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary English Teacher with a focus on developing Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing (LSRW) skills.

Responsibilities

  • Cambridge ESL Implementation: 
      • Implement the Cambridge English as a Second Language (ESL) curriculum
        for primary grades, ensuring alignment with educational standards.
      • Implement the Cambridge English as a Second Language (ESL) curriculum

  • Instructional Delivery:
      • Conduct interactive and engaging English lessons, emphasising storytelling,
        conversations, and language games to develop listening and speaking skills.
      • Foster early literacy skills through age-appropriate reading activities, and
        encourage creative writing to enhance writing skills.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: 
      • Design and administer assessments that evaluate students’ language
        proficiency across the four skills.
      • Provide constructive feedback to students and parents to support continuous
        improvement.
  • Literacy Promotion:
      • Instil a passion for reading by organising book clubs, storytelling sessions,
        and other literacy-promoting activities.
      • Encourage students to express themselves creatively through writing projects
        and journaling.
  • Integration with Guidelines:
      • Ensure all teaching materials, activities, and assessments align with
        Cambridge ESL curriculum guidelines.
      • Stay updated on changes or modifications to the curriculum and adapt lesson
        plans accordingly.
  • Collaboration:
      • Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and integrated curriculum
        across primary subjects.

Qualifications

    • A bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field. A teaching qualification
      is preferred.
    • Proven experience in teaching English at the primary school level, with a focus on
      ESL methodologies is desirable
    • Familiarity with the Cambridge English as a Second Language (ESL) curriculum.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
